Went here on a field trip! Very Kid-friendly and entertaining.
One of the best science/kids museum that we have visited in our life.
The Science Mill is great. My wife, three boys and I have had a great time there both times we have visited. Lots to see, do and learn.
Nice children's museum! Has several interesting hands-on displays and a small 3D movie theater included with the price of admission. Also, a very reasonably priced gift shop with lots of great science toys. Only downsides are that it's small and didn't take long to see everything and you have to drive to Johnson City, which is over an hour from Austin.
Great way to spend a few hours learning about science! The Science Mill is well layed out and offers some great exhibits.

We have been around at least 4 countries and Texas' cities (Austin, San Antonio and Houston)) and we always visit kids and science museums and this is one OF THE BEST museum so far. EACH ONE of the displays is amazing. My wife and me (29 y/o both) and my song (6 y/o) expended 45 minutes at one of the displays.
